Course overview
This district-sequenced, 90-instructional-day introduction covers gaming and esports, teamwork, personal health, communication, careers, education, computers, and basic networking.
Audience and pace
Grades 9–12. The scheduled course runs for 18 weeks at 240 instructional minutes per week and follows the approved district unit sequence.

- Explain foundational esports systems, roles, teamwork, health, and communication.
- Connect esports participation to career, education, computer, and networking awareness.
- Use respectful, evidence-based decisions in individual and group course work.
Course structure
The course moves through introduction to gaming/esports; team building and health; positive communication; careers and education; then technology operation and maintenance. District sequence and performance expectations remain the governing scope.
Learning evidence and assessment
Learners complete unit activities, communication and teamwork evidence, career/education research, and approved technology-operation assessments. Assessment follows the district course structure rather than an external competition requirement.
Expectations and boundaries
Use approved school tools and follow health, conduct, privacy, and communication expectations. No personal account, live competition, or specific game is required unless separately authorized by the instructor.
Capstone
The Unit 05 Technology Operation and Maintenance Assessment is embedded in the final approved district unit rather than a separate capstone unit.
