Rocket League Week 11: Comms for Speed

Rocket League comms must be short because the game moves quickly. Useful calls include "I got," "leaving," "low boost," "third," "backboard," "bumping," "center," "fake," and kickoff calls.

Call What Changes the Play

A call should prevent overlap or create coordination. Saying every movement out loud adds noise. Calling possession, boost, challenge, and rotation state helps teammates act.

Worked Example

Weak call: "I'm over here."

Stronger call: "Leaving, low boost, third rotate in." The stronger call tells the next player they can challenge and tells the team why the first player is rotating out.

Evidence Task

Write five Rocket League calls: kickoff, challenge, low boost, passing option, and defensive rotation.

Review Check

A good call prevents a double commit or helps a teammate time the next touch.
