Focus on the relationship between the question and the visual encoding. A chart type is useful only when it makes the evidence easier—not harder—to inspect.

What you should be able to prove

By the end of the Unit, you should be able to:

• choose a visualization for comparing quantities;
• choose a visualization for examining a distribution;
• explain what spread and outliers add to the story;
• identify a misleading scale or encoding choice; and
• state what the visualization still cannot answer.

Runtime boundary

The current evidence check focuses on chart design and interpretation. Student-created interactive chart execution will become part of the core evidence only after the Robotnix data workbench is implemented and tested.
