What you should be able to prove

By the end of the Unit, you should be able to:

• choose an encoding for a part-to-whole question;
• choose an encoding for a relationship between variables;
• describe a pattern without overstating it;
• identify a plausible confounding variable; and
• separate a supported observation from an unsupported causal explanation.
