Dota 2 Week 12: Strategy and Timing Windows
Dota strategy changes around timing windows: level six, first major item, BKB, Blink Dagger, Roshan, tower pressure, and buyback status. Teams need to know when they are strong and when they should avoid fighting.
Adaptation Trigger
If the opponent hits a stronger item timing first, dodge direct fights and trade map pressure. If your initiator gets Blink, smoke and force a fight. If buybacks are down, avoid risky high-ground pushes.
Worked Example
A team wins a fight but pushes high ground without cooldowns or buyback. The throw is not mechanical. It is a timing error. The repair is a high-ground condition: key ultimates ready, lanes pushed, vision placed, and buyback status checked.
Evidence Task
Create a timing-window plan with power spike, fight condition, avoid condition, objective target, and review metric.
Review Check
A Dota strategy is strong when timing determines the action.
