Dota performance cannot be reduced to KDA. Last hits, denies, net worth timing, warding, smoke value, tower pressure, Roshan control, spell impact, buyback discipline, and role execution all matter.

Context Matters

A support may have many deaths because they placed dangerous vision for a key objective. A carry may have high kills but poor item timing. An offlaner may create space without looking dominant on the scoreboard.

Worked Example

Player A has the best KDA but farms away from every objective. Player B has fewer kills but places vision, starts fights at the right timing, and protects Roshan control. A fair assessment includes role evidence.
