Valorant Week 10: Map Control and Objective Pressure
Valorant maps are built around sites, lanes, choke points, mid control, rotation routes, and flank timings. Map control is the team's ability to safely use space and deny safe space to the opponent.
Control Questions
Ask four questions before committing: What space do we control? What space is unknown? Where can defenders rotate from? What utility do we need to cross the danger zone?
Worked Example
Attackers rush A every round and get stopped at the same choke. A better plan pressures mid first, forces defender attention, clears one close angle with utility, then decides whether to split A or rotate. The goal is not slower play. The goal is informed pressure.
Evidence Task
Draw one Valorant site or use a simple diagram. Mark a choke point, a safe plant location, a common rotate path, a flank route, and one utility placement that changes the space.
Review Check
A map-control plan should explain how the spike reaches a playable plant position.
