Week 03: Airframe Structure and Mechanical Loads
This week, you will build airframe inspection and load-path sketch for a bounded Drone Engineering scenario. The work stays in classroom-safe analysis, supplied evidence, simulation, planning, and documentation. It does not authorize real flight or unsupervised hardware work.
The engineering problem
A quadcopter shows vibration in flight after a payload bracket is added to the front of the frame.
The core idea is that a frame is not just a place to attach parts. It is the structure that carries forces through the aircraft. Students will connect that idea to arms, plates, fasteners, landing gear, and mounts move thrust, weight, vibration, and impact loads through the body.
