Week 13: Photogrammetry Foundations
This week, you will build photogrammetry evidence model for a bounded Drone Engineering scenario. The work stays in classroom-safe analysis, supplied evidence, simulation, planning, and documentation. It does not authorize real flight or unsupervised hardware work.
The engineering problem
A team wants to turn aerial photos of a practice field into a measurement-backed map.
The core idea is that a map built from images is an argument made from geometry and evidence. Students will connect that idea to overlap, tie points, camera perspective, altitude, scale references, and processing assumptions allow software to estimate position and surface shape.
