Week 11: Weather, Site, and Crew Operations
This week, you will build site and crew readiness brief for a bounded Drone Engineering scenario. The work stays in classroom-safe analysis, supplied evidence, simulation, planning, and documentation. It does not authorize real flight or unsupervised hardware work.
The engineering problem
The aircraft is ready, but wind gusts and after-school pedestrian traffic create changing conditions.
The core idea is that a mission can be technically possible and still be a bad idea today. Students will connect that idea to weather, obstacles, people, visibility, launch area, recovery area, and crew communication all change operational risk.
