Week 4 Propulsion Evidence Log

Do not summarize the propulsion lessons. Defend a configuration.

Use the fictional motor–propeller evidence from Week 4 and write a short engineering record for a mission reviewer.

Configuration snapshot

Record the configuration you are defending:

  • aircraft mass;
  • motor/propeller option;
  • ESC limit from the supplied packet;
  • hover or test current;
  • thrust evidence;
  • thermal trend;
  • mission type.

Tradeoff graph

Draw a simple two-axis graph or table comparing at least two propulsion options on two of these variables:

  • thrust;
  • current demand;
  • heat trend;
  • endurance;
  • clearance;
  • mass.

Then add one sentence explaining why “highest thrust” is not automatically the best result.

Change-control decision

For the proposed propulsion change, write:

I would accept for next controlled test / revise / reject this configuration because...

Your reason must cite a specific limit or mission requirement.

What did the extra thrust cost?

Answer in one paragraph. Follow the effects upstream and downstream: motor load, current, ESC margin, battery demand, heat, frame/clearance, and mission endurance.

You do not need to mention every variable. Choose the ones supported by the supplied evidence.
