Unit 02 · lesson
Matching Values Do Not Prove Integration
Suppose Java reports 0.42 and a ROS message also reports 0.42.
That is evidence of agreement, not evidence of a transport path.
To claim integration, you would need evidence of the mechanism connecting the layers, such as a bridge process, shared interface, network path, log correlation, or other observable transfer.
Checkpoint
Build a two-column evidence table:
| Java/JVM | ROS 2 runtime |
|---|---|
| value, variable, log | topic, type, field, timestamp |
Then add a third row titled missing integration evidence.
Write one sentence that would be invalid without that missing evidence.
