Unit 15 · lesson
Prerequisite Checkpoint: Produce a Repeatable Startup Record
Close this route with a Startup Evidence Record that another engineer can reproduce.
Include:
- workspace/package prerequisite status;
- shell/overlay state;
- launch command or supplied startup configuration;
- expected node/process inventory;
- independently observed graph state;
- one controlled failure and recovery note;
- Java/WPILib integration status.
Use explicit labels:
ROS STARTUP VERIFIED
ROS STARTUP PARTIAL
JAVA-TO-ROS INTEGRATION NOT DEMONSTRATED
PHYSICAL ROBOT STATUS NOT DEMONSTRATED
Do not turn a successful launch into a broader readiness claim than the evidence supports.
This route now serves as the final prerequisite startup check before the bridge moves into cross-layer recovery and readiness defense.
