Unit 12 · lesson
Compare Java State With ROS Messages Without Inventing a Bridge
A Java object and a ROS message can represent related robot state while remaining completely separate runtime artifacts.
Compare only evidence you actually have:
- field meaning;
- unit;
- value;
- source;
- timestamp/context;
- transformation rule if documented.
Matching values are not proof of transport, synchronization, or shared ownership.
Checkpoint
Create a claim matrix for one Java value and one ROS message field. Mark each claim supported, unsupported, or unknown, then name the missing evidence required to prove an integration path.
