Unit 12 · lesson
Endpoint Evidence Beats Topic Assumptions
A topic name can exist in documentation, source code, or a launch file without proving the expected runtime endpoints are present.
Inspect the evidence chain:
topic/interface definition
→ publisher/subscriber presence
→ compatible endpoint policies
→ observed message flow
Each layer supports a stronger claim than the one before it.
Checkpoint
Classify four claims as design-time, runtime-discovery, compatibility, or observed-delivery evidence. Explain which layer is missing if communication remains unproven.
