Week 1 Reflection: Beyond the Player

Choose one person, organization, or technology from your Esports Ecosystem Map that you did not think much about before this week.

In 100-150 words, explain:

1. what it does;
2. what other parts depend on it;
3. what happens if it fails or is removed; and
4. how it changed your understanding of esports.

Use one specific connection from your map as evidence. A strong response makes a claim, points to a relationship, explains the consequence, and reflects on the change in your thinking.

The game is only one part of esports. The system around it makes organized competition possible.
