DigitalLearn Lab: Google Chrome

This lesson keeps the original DigitalLearn Google Chrome activity in the course rather than replacing it with a Robotnix imitation.

Open the official DigitalLearn Google Chrome course materials. The source page currently provides an activity sheet, design document, handout, and presentation and identifies the course material under DigitalLearn's content license.

Use the source activity, then prove what changed

Complete the learner-facing Google Chrome activity supplied by DigitalLearn. Treat the source activity as the guided practice for this lesson.

Two classroom boundaries override an older or more general tutorial:

1. Use the school-managed browser/account environment. Do not create a personal account for the activity.
2. Do not install an extension unless it is explicitly allowed by school policy. If the source activity includes extension personalization and installation is blocked, inspect the extension page and its requested purpose/permissions without installing it, then record the restriction.

Those are Robotnix classroom adaptations. The underlying source activity remains DigitalLearn work.

Add a change log

When the DigitalLearn activity is complete, record three actions from the activity in this table:

The important column is Evidence. “I clicked it” is an action. “I closed the tab and reopened the correct resource from the bookmark” is evidence that the bookmark does its job.

If the interface does not match the handout

Google interfaces change. A source handout may show a menu icon, wording, or screen arrangement that differs from the current school browser.

Do not invent a step and do not mark the source “wrong” based on one visual difference. Record:

• what the source expected;
• what your current interface shows;
• the current path that achieves the same authorized result, if you can verify it.

That comparison is part of digital literacy: procedures age faster than concepts.

What not to submit

Do not submit a screenshot that exposes personal browsing history, saved passwords, private email, another person's account, or unrelated tabs. Crop or use a written evidence record when needed.

Lab exit evidence

Your lab is complete when you have:

• completed the available DigitalLearn Chrome learner activity;
• recorded three before/after changes;
• verified at least one change by reopening or rechecking it;
• documented any school-policy restriction or source/interface mismatch.
