DigitalLearn Lab: Google Docs

Open the official DigitalLearn Google Docs course materials.

The current source page lists four documents: an Activity Sheet, Design Document, Handout, and Presentation. Complete the learner-facing Google Docs activity from DigitalLearn using your school-managed account.

This source activity stays intact as guided practice. Robotnix adds three audits after it: structure, accessibility, and collaboration evidence.

Run the source activity first

Follow the DigitalLearn Activity Sheet where it matches the current school Google Docs environment. If the current interface has changed, record the source expectation and the current verified equivalent.

Do not create a personal account or broaden sharing beyond the classroom requirement.

Audit 1 — structure

Inspect the document you used or a course-safe copy.

  • Is the title identifiable?
  • Are section headings real heading styles where appropriate?
  • Are lists actually lists?
  • Does the outline/navigation structure make sense?

Record one structural improvement even if the source activity did not require it.

Audit 2 — accessibility

Check at least three of these:

  • descriptive link text;
  • alt text for meaningful images;
  • heading order;
  • text that does not rely on color alone;
  • readable spacing/contrast;
  • meaningful table structure if a table is used.

Do not insert unnecessary media just to manufacture an accessibility task.

Audit 3 — collaboration evidence

If the source activity uses sharing or collaboration, identify the role and action. Otherwise, add one course-safe comment or suggestion workflow with an authorized partner/simulation.

Record:

intended audience
permission

revision evidence

Lab exit

Keep:

  1. completed DigitalLearn Google Docs activity;
  2. one structure change;
  3. one accessibility change;
  4. one collaboration/version evidence item;
  5. one interface or policy difference if encountered.
