DigitalLearn Lab: Google Forms

Open the official DigitalLearn Google Forms course materials and complete the learner activity available there.

DigitalLearn provides the guided Forms practice. Robotnix adds a privacy and response-data audit so that successful form creation is not confused with responsible data collection.

Complete the source activity

Use the school-managed Google Workspace environment. Follow the applicable DigitalLearn learner steps for creating and sharing a Form.

If the source activity asks for example information, use course-safe or synthetic values. Do not enter real passwords, student IDs, medical details, home addresses, personal phone numbers, or other unnecessary private information.

Audit every field

After the source activity, inspect the Form's questions. For each one, record:

If the source activity uses a field that would be inappropriate for your school context, do not silently copy it. Record the adaptation and use a safe replacement.

Trace the response destination

If the activity connects responses to Sheets, verify:

• the expected columns appear;
• one safe test response maps to the correct row/fields;
• the response sheet is not shared more broadly than needed.

If the source activity does not use Sheets, inspect the Forms response view and describe where the collected data is visible.

Interface and policy drift

Google Forms settings can vary by organization. A school administrator may force sign-in or restrict external responses. Treat that as part of the operating environment.

Current-interface check: Google's current Forms workflow requires a form to be published before responders can access it. If the DigitalLearn material shows an older Send or sharing flow without a Publish step, use the current school interface: verify the form and privacy settings first, publish only the teacher-approved synthetic/classroom form, then use the responder-sharing option available in that environment. Do not publish a form containing real sensitive information just to match a tutorial.
