Week 04 · overview
Week 04: Sustainable Performance and Recovery
Esports practice asks students to make decisions, communicate, use technology, and recover from mistakes. Those skills do not improve just because a session lasts longer. This week treats readiness as a system: a usable setup, a purposeful practice plan, breaks, sleep, and a respectful way to ask for support.
This is not a medical unit. Students will not diagnose teammates or try to prove toughness by ignoring discomfort. They will learn to notice patterns, adjust what they control, and bring a persistent concern to a trusted adult, school professional, or qualified health professional.
| Lesson | Question | Student evidence |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | What makes a practice session worth repeating? | Capacity check and revised practice plan |
| 2 | Does our setup help us work, or quietly create strain? | Setup observation and one safe adjustment |
| 3 | How do sleep and recovery protect learning? | Balanced weekly practice schedule |
| Reflection | What boundary will protect my performance? | Short instructor-submitted reflection |
This week’s operating principle
A sustainable routine protects tomorrow’s decisions, not just today’s minutes.
The supporting tabs remain optional ways to inspect the idea. The Lesson tab carries the instruction; the Mindmap traces the performance system; Game Theory uses simple risk-and-response choices; and Explore is for approved enrichment, never required evidence.
