Esports communities need clear moderation. Moderation protects students, keeps chat usable, and makes expectations visible.

Moderation Scope

Moderation can include chat rules, player conduct, audience behavior, usernames, profile images, comments, and dispute language. The rules should be simple and enforceable.

Worked Example

A viewer posts disrespectful comments during a match. A weak response ignores it until students react. A strong response has a moderator remove the comment, document the incident, and follow the escalation rule.

Write five moderation rules and one escalation path. Each rule should describe the behavior, not the student's identity.

Common Failure

Do not create rules that depend on guessing intent. Focus on observable behavior.
