Fair Performance Claims

A performance claim connects evidence to a conclusion. Fair claims are limited. They do not pretend to know more than the evidence can prove.

Claim Format

Use this structure: "Based on ____, the player or team showed ____. This claim is limited because ____. The next improvement target is ____."

Worked Example

"Based on three timestamped objective fights, the team showed improved patience before committing. This claim is limited because the opponent used the same route each time. The next improvement target is testing the plan against a faster rotation."

Write one fair claim about a player, team, or event crew. Include evidence and limitation.

Common Failure

Do not use performance claims to label students as good or bad. Use them to identify the next improvement target.

Check

The claim is fair if it can be challenged, revised, and improved with more evidence.
